The plot follows Ram Jaane (played with intense charisma by a young Shah Rukh Khan) and his best friend Murli (Vivek Mushran) as they descend into a life of petty crime. Caught by a corrupt police officer, Inspector Chewte (Puneet Issar), they are thrown into the brutal world of street gangs.
