The most common method for applying a cracked root or updating firmware is the local USB update.
Copy the firmware file (usually named k2001n.img or similar) to the root of the USB drive. Install the Update: Plug the USB drive into the head unit. A prompt should appear asking to update. If not, go to Settings and check for "System Update".
The system will automatically detect the firmware on the USB drive and begin the installation. Step 4: Wait for Completion
