The National Domestic Violence Hotline (NDVH) and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) are two organizations that offer confidential support and resources for victims of abuse. In 2021, there were renewed efforts to address workplace violence and harassment in the audiovisual industry in Latin America. UNI Americas and the Latin American Group of the International Federation of Actors (FIA) launched an online survey on "violence and harassment in the workplaces of the audiovisual industry and performing arts sector in Latin America". The survey aimed to "shed some light and identify the existence of unacceptable and toxic behaviours in the sector workplaces at the regional level". The survey found that "in all work areas, violence against women and dissent is expressed as assault, sexual harassment, segregation, wage discrimination, hiring restrictions, a strong glass ceiling," highlighting the systemic nature of the problem.
