: We meet the citizens of a drought-stricken city forced to use public pay-toilets. When Old Man Strong can't pay, he is dragged off to the ominous "Urinetown". His son, the earnest Bobby Strong, works at the same amenity and is first encouraged to follow his heart by the idealistic Hope Cladwell, daughter of the greedy UGC president. Inspired by his father's fate, Bobby begins a revolution, letting everyone pee for free.
