Stuart's major breakthrough came through his association with Dian Hanson, the editor of the fetish magazine "Leg Show." She introduced him to the renowned art book publisher Taschen, which went on to publish his first photo book in 1998. The first three volumes alone sold an impressive 250,000 copies.

Many images in this volume feel like stills from a lost avant-garde play. Stuart blends nudity with masks, food, religious iconography, and everyday chores (ironing, eating, reading) to destabilize the viewer’s expectations.
