The previous version of the MIRD guidelines, MIRD37, was published in 2008. Since then, significant advances have been made in our understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and radiation biology. Additionally, new radiopharmaceuticals have been developed, and there has been an increased use of hybrid imaging modalities such as positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT). These developments necessitated an update to the guidelines to ensure that radiation dose estimates remain accurate and reliable. What should be included at the end
