Let’s be honest. Sparks of Hope is a paradox. On one hand, it is a turn-based tactical RPG. One could argue that 30 FPS is “fine” for a game where you spend 70% of your time in menus, planning grid-based movements.
On the original Nintendo Switch hardware, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope runs at a stable across both docked and handheld modes. Docked mode renders at 900p, while handheld mode drops to roughly 612p. While this is adequate for a turn-based strategy game, the modding community has sought to unlock the game's full potential on PC for a smoother, more responsive experience.
