The narrative is centered around issues of water scarcity and corporate exploitation, highlighting the struggles of farmers in the fictional village of Thanoothu. The film was produced under the banner of Lyca Productions. The film's music, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, became an instant hit, with tracks like "Selfie Pulla" and "Aathi" topping the charts.
