Version 6.1 brings awareness of SSD and Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR) drives to SpinRite for the first time. The software can also handle drives of virtually any size—even 30-terabyte drives—by using large 16-megabyte I/O transfer buffers that minimize per-transfer overhead.
Immediately after purchasing, you will receive a purchase receipt containing a personal serial number or transaction code. You can use this information at any time to download your personally-licensed copy of SpinRite. License holders can obtain download links by entering their serial number, transaction code, or registered email address on the GRC downloads page.
