The game is set in a not-so-distant future where a comet is on a collision course with Earth. As governments scramble to find a solution, they launch a series of Arks—spaceship-like structures designed to preserve a select few until the danger passes. However, the comet's trajectory changes at the last minute, and instead of destroying Earth, it hits and devastates a major city.
