Sneha, whose full name is Sneha Jose Pundir, was born to a Malayali family in Mumbai. Her father, Jose Pundir, was a Keralite, and her mother, Leela, was a Maharashtrian. Sneha's family moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, when she was just a child, and she spent most of her formative years in the city. She completed her schooling at St. Mary's School in Chennai and later graduated with a degree in Psychology from Loyola College.
